CARBON CAPTURE
ROLLING BACK AIR POLLUTION
Scientist Klaus Lackner discovered a way to clean the air more efficiently than trees.
Klaus Lackner invented a “tree” made of a plastic resin that removes carbon from the atmosphere at a rate a thousand times that of an organic tree and can offload that carbon at a low cost for storage underground. Removing carbon from our atmosphere will help combat climate change. In this case, the regulatory framework needed to bring his and similar products to market as profitable ventures does not exist. As the climate problem worsens, his solution sits unused on the shelf.
